Working with craft to further enhance our dreams or ward off nightmares is helpful in any case.
Use these resources to work with enhancing and warding off potential negative energies.
Lastly, always remember if you sleep with a mirror facing your bed, cover it upon sleeping as it is a portal.

Pillow Charms

By putting certain things underneath your pillow, you will allow those metaphysical properties to interact with your dreams, and your person all throughout the night. These items can be put underneath your pillow, to provide you with certain energies, minds states, and physical stimuli throughout the night:

Lapis lazuli under your pillow for awareness of your dreams, and vividness of those dreams.
Chamomile under your pillow in order to promote relaxation, and good dreams.
Rose petals under your pillow in order to bring love into your waking life.
A blade of grass, or a leaf underneath your pillow to promote growth and change in your waking life.
Money under your pillow for wealth, and prosperity in your waking life.
A picture of someone underneath your pillow in order to connect with them better.
The name of someone underneath your pillow in order to connect with them better.

Handling Nightmares

To Prevent Nightmares
Wash an egg in cold water and, with a pencil, write the name of the person afflicted with bad dreams.
Put the egg in a dish, then place it on a nightstand close to the sleeping place of the person.
If the egg cracks or breaks, flush it down the toilet.
Repeat the spell until the egg stays intact for 7 days. Flush the remaining egg.

Citrine Nightmare Preventative
Before going to sleep, hold a citrine tightly in your dominant hand and chant:
Stone of joyful yellow light
I give my dreams to you tonight
Grab the bad ones, the rest leave free
So that I may dream peacefully
Place the stone under your pillow.

To End Nightmares
To eradicate nightmares, empower three mullein leaves with the following chant, then place them under your mattress.
Herb of mullein, now absorb
Unpleasant dreams before they form
Bring to me a restful sleep
As I will, so mote it be.
